Tosowoong Vitalizing Perfect Cover Essence Cushion Review

Today I want to review a cushion that I have been testing out for a few months. This is the newly released Tosowoong Vitalizing Perfect Cover Essence Cushion SPF 50 PA+++ in #21. I received this from the lovely Amy at Cupidrop.com in exchange for my honest review. I have posted this cushion on my Instagram herehere and here but I wanted to give my readers and followers a more in-depth review.

To start, my skin type during this time of the year is normal to combination. My skin can also be quite sensitive and temperamental. I am usually have very acne prone however, with the incorporation of Curology, my skin has been less breakout prone. My review will reflect how this cushion works for my personal skin type and condition and as always, your results may vary.

The Claim:
This product is suppose to be a moisturizing cushion that offers natural cover with added skin care benefits. This is made with 45% liquid foundation and 55% moisturizing essence. The foundation is suppose to offer smooth coverage that hides acne marks, dark spots of other imperfections but leave the skin bright and glowing while offering excellent adherence. The essence of damask rose floral water adds extra moisture to soothe skin. This claims to be a 3-in-1 products and offers triple functioning skin care benefits.

The Packaging:
This comes in a very simple white round cushion case that offers 15g of product. This does not come with a refill.

Patch Testing:
Every product I use goes through a very detailed patch testing period. I always patch test and I recommend patch testing to everyone. This is how I introduce new products to my easily irritated skin. Patch testing can look different for everyone but for me, I test products in stages. For this particular cushion, I applied it to my more sensitive areas for a couple of days in a row. No reaction occurs so I moved forward and began to apply the product to half of my face. All went well so I began to use the product on my entire face. This cushion did not cause any reaction whatsoever nor did it cause me to have any issues with breakouts.

Texture and Formula:
This is a very lightweight cushion foundation that does not feel heavy and offers light to medium coverage. I love how light the formula is and that it didn't look cakey. I found that this lasted about 6-8 hours and made my skin look very bright and even. My skin definitely had a beautiful glow. This did cover my redness and most of my discoloration/post acne scars. This didn't provide the best coverage so for some of you, you might need to use a concealer. I actually love the amount of coverage this offers....not too much, not too little. This definitely hydrates! This made my often dehydrated, tight skin feel very soothed and comfortable. I also loved how this doesn't have much of a scent or fragrance so I would highly recommend this for those of you with sensitive skin. The best thing about this cushion is that it matches my incredibly pale skin tone ( I am about a N to NC 10-15 ). It does take a few minutes to warm up but blends perfectly without needing to touch up or re-apply.

Notable ingredients are niacinamide, vitamin e, shea butter, royal jelly extract, aloe, hyaluronic acid, ceramide, caviar and an amino acid complex. As far as the anti-aging claim, you would need to use this consistently to see any real or long term skin care benefits however, it does have an excellent sun protection so that in itself is the best anti-aging.

Results:
Please see my bright, even and glowing skin!
one application, no other makeup

Overall:
I will fully admit that I am a cushion junkie but this is by far my favorite cushion I have used so far. This just makes my skin look incredibly flawless, offers great skin care and sun care benefits and looks really natural. I get compliments on my skin every time I have worn this out. I got carded both times I was wearing this outside the house (once out to dinner and once at Trader Joes trying to buy a bottle of wine for my homemade tomato sauce LOL). The color match is fantastic! This does retail for over $30 USD and does not come with a refill so the price is my only grip. However, I do feel that it is worth spending a bit more money on especially when this just makes my skin look and feel good.  Overall, I am extremely happy with this cushion and I will be repurchasing when I run out. I would highly recommend you check it out!

Stay Beautiful ❤️
