Maricle Marine Pure Collagen White CC Cream SPF 50 Review

Almost a month ago, MiniB Beauty reached out to ask if I would be interested in testing out a CC Cream from the brand Maricle because it would be a great color match for my super pale skin tone. After researching the brand Maricle I agreed to test out the product in exchange for my honest opinion. I have been testing out the Marine Pure Collagen White CC Cream SPF 50 PA+++ in almost three weeks and wanted to share my thoughts.

To start, my skin type during this time of the year is normal to combination. My skin can also be quite sensitive and temperamental. I am usually very acne prone however, with the incorporation of Curology, my skin has been less breakout prone. My review will reflect how this cream works for my personal skin type and condition and as always, your results may vary.

Maricle is a Korean brand focused on the use of marine collagen derived from marine animals. This marine collagen is derived from the scales and fins of fish, the stuff that is mostly discarded in the consumption of fish for most human beings. Now, this might bring up ethical discussions regarding use of such an ingredient however the same can be said to those whom use horse fat, pig collagen or snake venom. I am not here to debate over controversal ingredients but I seek to always be transparent with my readers, especially regarding ingredients of the products I test.

Ingredients:
While we are on the topic of ingredients, as you can see from the above photo, the CC Cream contains some impressive collection of noteworthy, hardworking ingredients such as ginseng, hyralonic acid, snail secretion filtrate, propolis, soybean ferment extract and beeswax.  I want to also point out that this product is paraben free.

The Claim:
This CC Cream is marketed as a 3 in 1 product and claims to instantly brighten/whiten the skin, provide high sun protection against handful UV rays and improve wrinkles.

Packaging
This CC Cream comes in a tube container that has a pump top. It contains 50 ml or 1.7 fl. oz of product.

Patch Testing:
Every product I use goes through a very detailed patch testing period. I always patch test and I recommend patch testing to everyone. This is how I introduce new skin care products to my easily irritated skin. Patch testing can look different for everyone but for me, I test products in stages. For this CC Cream, I started with a strip on my check next to my neck on both sizes of my face. I increased the size of the application area until most of my checks were covered. I knew that I wasn't going to have a allergic reaction and I began using this as my only base product for the next few weeks.

Texture and Formula:
This has a lightweight consistency similar to an emulsion. It comes out a white color but as you massage, it turns into a light neutral color that matches my N3 / N10 (neutral) skin tone. I have used cushion foundations exclusively for the past year and I did find that this one was a bit more difficult to apply. As it mentioned in the above picture, this does have a drier consistency. I have been wearing it everyday for almost three weeks and have found the best application is to wet a ruby cell puff with a face mist. I apply the CC Cream to my face, gently massaging it in and then use the saturated puff to pat to blend. This does sit onto of dry patches but using the face mist and puff has helped.

Once applied, this looks very good on my skin. It matches my skin tone perfectly, lasts all day without settling into fine lines and gives my skin a healthy glow without looking too dewy. It does instantly brighten and protects my skin from UV damage but as far as wrinkle correction, I would need to use this product for more than just a few weeks. This has a slight fresh scent but dissipates upon application. I do not smell a thing once I have applied it on my skin. Since using this I have also noticed that my skin becomes less oily in my t-zone...another huge plus!

Results:
I really enjoy this CC Cream because it looks so natural and makes my skin look great and the lasting ability is outstanding. The dry texture is something I have had to get used to but using the application method mentioned above has helped. It has been a learning process and does take a bit more time but the end result is well worth it.

Overall:
I like this CC Cream very much! I love the natural, glowing effect and the ingredients are stellar. The application is a bit tricky and it does accentuate dry patches so I would not use this in the fall or winter when my skin is more dry. This did not cause any breakouts or irritation and I love the fact that after application, this is virtually scentless. I would definitely repurchase and would recommend this to those with normal to combination and oily skin types.

Stay Beautiful❤️
