Today's post is a review on a cleansing water from the Korean brand Atrue. I actually won this product in a giveaway by 0.8 liter on Instagram here. Before this giveaway, I had heard a lot about Atrue and have been wanting to try their products. I was fortunate enough to win this giveaway and I have been using this as a makeup remover and morning cleanser since receiving it.
Description:
This cleaning water is very different from others out there because this formula uses black tea water. This contains 87% black tea grown in the 200 year old tradition called Compagnie Coloniale. The Compagnie Coloniale is the highest quality black tea of the oldest French tea brands. This tea contains high amounts of vitamins and minerals to help skin's overall function. The multi-fruit complex helps not only cleanse, but softens dead skin cells while moisturizing and hydrating.
This contains only safe ingredients and is formulated without parabens, ethanol, phenoxyethanol, benzophenone, triethanolamine, talc, mineral oil, synthetic pigments and SLS.

Texture and Scent:
This has the consistency of water, no pun intended! It's a clear liquid that has a soft, sweet floral scent that quickly dissipates.
Results:
I absolutely love this stuff. I would repurchase again in a heartbeat. As you can see from the above picture, this cleanses the skin very well and leaves my face feeling super soft and hydrated. I don't need to rinse, just swipe a cotton pad around and then apply my other skin care products. The only test I have not done with this has been removing full eye makeup. I have been sick this week so I haven't worn much makeup but the little I have used was no match for this cleansing water. It took off everything and didn't irritate my eyes.
Overall:
I have super sensitive skin that is very acne prone but using this over the past week I have actually seen an overall improvement in my skin. It is hard to believe but this is my first cleansing water but it's true. I had this misconception about using cleansing waters so I had never tried one. I thought that they wouldn't clean well enough and would leave a film without rinsing. However, since incorporating this into my routine, my skin has been more balanced and I have not had a breakout all week long, not even a tiny spot. I have not changed anything except that I no longer do a traditional cleanse in the morning. I even think this is better than just using a konjac sponge and water in the morning as the cotton pad above clearly shows grime that needs to be cleansed off in the AM.
Again, I have super sensitive skin and did not experience any reaction, irritation, redness, breakouts...nothing. My skin was actually less irritated, less red and more calm. Could this be my my HG?!
This experience has opened my eyes to the world of cleansing waters and I want to try them all now! I am so glad that I won this product from Atrue and will definitely continue to use this until the very last drop. Thanks 8 liter!
