Oolu Gel Lemon Mask Review

I wanted to take the opportunity to review the Oolu Lemon Peel Mask from Memebox. To start, I love masks and post mask reviews on my Instagram channel on a weekly basis. However, most of the masks I review are sheet masks because I find them super easy to incorporate into your daily skin care routine. On the other hand, wash off masks can be equally effective but they do take more work. Wash off masks require you to wash them off and at night, I can be a little lazy. Lately, I have been testing out more wash off masks like the Matcha Clay Mask from the brand Matcha Obsessed and it has rekindled my appreciation and love for these types of masks. While wash off's require a rinsing step, their efficacy deserves a spotlight. I was super excited when this mask arrived in the mail courtesy of Memebox because Oolu is a brand that I have come to enjoy.

The Claims and Company Info:
This is an organic wash off mask containing vitamin rich lemon extract that claims to brighten, even out skin tone and lift away dead skin cells for softer skin. This is a water-less gel mask with real bits of lemon peel. This claims to help exfoliate the skin improving texture while hydrating the skin. I would also like to mention that this mask is EcoCert, an organic certification organization that ensures environmentally friendly cosmetics. In additional, this product doesn't contain any animal ingredients or is it tested on animals.

Another great feature is that the Oolu brand gives back to the community and helps support children in areas suffering from famine. And lastly, the preparation involved in creating their products goes through is very precise and detailed from start to finish. This is what makes Oolu so unique as each product is carefully made using the best ingredients possible.

Ingredients:
If you have been following me for any length of time, you will know that ingredients are very important to me. Aside from lemon extract, this also contains sodium hyaluronate (moisture biding), honey, lime, orange peel, skullcap (soothing antioxidant), licorice (brightening) and bergamot fruit oil.

Full Ingredient List:
Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Extract, Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract, Glycerin, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Fruit Extract, Iris Versicolor Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Leaf Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel, Honey Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil

Scent
This smells like lemonade with a hint of sweet honey but it is not overpowering

Formula and Texture:
I love the fact that this is organic and water-less plus it felt very light and refreshing on the skin. Once applied, my skin was instantly cooled. The gel had a great consistency, not too thick and not too thin plus the mask was easy to apply. I used the enclosed scoop to I applied a thick layer all over my face and gently massaged it in for about 30 seconds. I left it on for 25 minutes and emoving was a lot easier than other gel wash off masks I have tried such as this one from Annie's Way I recently reviewed on my Instagram. This didn't take much effort to rinse.

Results:
After removing with lukewarm water, my skin felt extremely smooth, cool to the touch, calm and hydrated. This also really brighten my complexion and gave me a beautiful, radiant glow. My skin indeed more even toned and the next morning, my skin looked luminous. This did not make my skin feel tight or uncomfortable, just plump, soothed and glowing. I am very impressed with this mask and would highly recommend this mask for all skin types, even for those like me with sensitive skin because it is extremely gentle.

Where can you purchase:
I received from Memebox whom no longer carry this mask. If you can find it elsewhere, please let me know and I will update

Stay Beautiful ❤️
