It Cosmetics CC Veil Cushion Foundation Review and Comparison

Today I want to post my review on It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation. This is a cushion style foundation, just one of the many being launched here in the US from western cosmetic brands.  So far, the cushions I have tried have been very disappointing when you compare them to Korean brands like Iope, Missha or Innsifree. You can read my honest reviews on the L'Oreal and MAC cushions and please leave a comment with your own thoughts.

Korea has not only invented the cushion but has set the bar for cushion foundations. Korean companies have established a high level of expectation surrounding cushion compacts, something that I am not sure any western brand can compete against. Knowing this, I am not sure why I keep running out to buy these new western cushions! Perhaps out of curiosity....I guess like anyone, I like to try new things. I am actually glad I ventured out to Ulta to pick up this cushion. Here is why!

The Ingredients:
I am pretty impressed with the ingredients list, especially the no chemical sunscreen of SPF 50! This also contains peptides, hyaluronic acid, collagen, algae and vitamins a, b, c and e. It also has licorice root extract, and niacinamide for brightening and even out the complexion. They market this as also "infused" with "Drops of Light" which are liquid crystals to brighten and color correct skin.

Benton Honest TT Mist Review

*PR sample - Please see disclaimer

Today I want to review the Benton Honest TT Mist. Over the years I have tried several facial mists but I have never incorporated a mist into my daily skin care routine until recently. I have quickly changed my previous beliefs that facial mists were nothing more than an unnecessary, addition step. I now see the multitude of benefits facial mists offer and since have purchased a few I am currently testing out. For now, let's get on with the review.

Product Description:

The Benton Honest TT Mist is a pump style, non aerosol facial mist in a soft tube container similar to a toothpaste tube. I personally like the tube container as it is very durable and unlikely to break. I have never seen a mist in this style of container but it is very travel friendly because it is not bulky. This is also smaller than the average facial mist as it contains 40ML.

Tester Korea Haul

Today's post is an order I placed on Tester Korea. It finally came! I placed the order on November 29th and it arrived January 2nd. This was by far the slowest shipping from a online retailer I have experienced. On the plus side, everything arrived safely. It is not a huge haul by any means. I placed the order because I really wanted the adorable limited edition Skinfood Peanuts Royal Honey Cushion because I'm a sucker for anything Peanuts! I also wanted to test out Tester Korea because I had never ordered anything from this website. I am also not one to go super crazy on hauls as I have learned over the years to be very responsible when in comes to purchasing cosmetics.

Skincare Update #3

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I wanted to take the opportunity to update my progress as I have battling hormonal acne for almost a year now. My skincare story began around March of 2015 when I noticed I was breaking out with acne more than usual. You can read my original post here! At first it was just a few spots here and there, but it quickly escalated and eventually I had breakouts everywhere. The worse part was I began to develop those deep cystic spots that hurt like hell. It was the first time in my life that I had ever experienced this type of acne. It was horrible....I felt disgusting, became depressed, I didn't want to leave the house. Here I was a medial Esthetician, with 17 years of experience and I had bad skin. I tried to treat it myself, but nothing seemed to work. In June, I finally went to see my primary care physician and she prescribed a few different treatments, some of which I was extremely allergic too. By August, without any improvement, my doctor prescribed Spironolactone, a medicine to treat acne in women.  I am not one for taking a ton of medications but at this point I was beyond frustrated and completely desperate for a solution! I also decided to try Curology after reading so many positive reviews. You can learn more about Curology here!
